Happy Father’s Day! If you are looking for some last minute ideas, I have a round-up of what I think Dad will love for Father’s Day.

Start the day off with Milk Chocolate Smoothies. As I have mentioned before, I think Dad’s like filling meals. If you serve this to Dad in the morning, he will have plenty of energy for the rest of his Father’s Day.

Mint Chocolate Smoothie

Serving Size: 1

Mint Chocolate Smoothie

Ingredients

2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup milk (almond milk or any kind of milk you prefer)

6 oz. nonfat Greek yogurt

1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract

¼ cup ice

Mint and Chopped Chocolate to Garnish (optional)

Method

  1. Add the first four ingredients to the blender, in the order listed, and blend until creamy, and smooth
  2. Taste and add more peppermint extract if needed. Add more cocoa powder for a stronger chocolate taste.
  3. Put the ice in a tall glass and pour blended smoothie over the ice.
  4. Garnish with fresh mint and chocolate.

Notes

If you have a strong blender, add 3 small frozen very ripe bananas, previously peeled & sliced to create a thicker and more hearty smoothie
