Have you made a New Year’s Resolution this year? I passed my New Year’s Eve in quiet among family and ended the night or rather started the new day after the strike of midnight in spirituality. After an evening of family and a few bites of Blini and caviar, toasting with champagne, I headed up to bed early. Set my diffuser with the uplifting scent of Eucalyptus and meditated for a simple 6 minutes before bed focusing on erasing the worries of 2016 and replacing them with peace, joy, and health.
The spiritual start inspired me to do something better than a resolution for the New Year and being a fan of Deepak Chopra, I came across The Four Intentions. These four intentions increase the chance of success for the whole year because they allow us to be consistent with intentions that fit every lifestyle, belief system, personality, and individual situation.
I hope you will join me with The Four Intentions:
1. I want a joyful, energetic body.
2. I want a loving, compassionate heart.
3. I want a restful, alert mind.
4. I want lightness of being.
Try repeating these intentions daily to succeed in whatever you may want for this new year. These intentions move from body, emotions, and mind to spirit; thus, you are affecting more change than you could through a resolution that you try to enforce with willpower.
With these new thoughts, I want to start my day off with a vibrant healthy cleanse. It’s bitter cold out and rather than a cold pressed juice, a warm juice cleanse sounds better to me. You know warm water can really get your blood flowing first thing in the morning. Try this combination of ginger, lemon, and orange to invigorate the process.
Ingredients
½ cup water
1 inch fresh ginger grated
¼ cup fresh squeezed orange juice
¼ cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
Method
- Bring water to boil with ginger.
- Remove from heat and add the juices.
- Strain and serve warm.
