In today’s meditation, we learn about the transformative power of love. Love is the essence of the true self. If you can act from a space of love, you bypass the judgments and burdens of the ego. So expressing compassion, forgiveness, kindness, and a sense of purpose comes easily. Love expresses itself with tenderness, but it also provides great inner strength.
“This world is in deep trouble, but it can be swiftly healed by the balm of love.” ― Rumi
Living Life with Love
Today’s Centering Thought is: I find myself in a world created by love.
Today’s Mantra: Aham Prema (I am love.)
Center yourself to begin a quiet solitude of mind and spirit with the thought “I find myself in a world created by love.” Then begin to meditate by focusing on your breath and repeating the mantra: Aham Prema. It affirms that your essential nature is pure love. Take deep breaths and with each breathe feel your mind body and spirit open just a little more to this affirmation. Each time your mind wanders come back by repeating this mantra and hold the meaning behind it – “I am love.” Simply meditate for 20 minutes.
Today’s Journal Activities:
- The spiritual side of love is more than a personal feeling or emotion. Write down the moments today when you experienced any of the following values of higher love: compassion, forgiveness, kindness, tolerance, and non-judgment.
- Pick one value of higher love you would like to experience more. Describe ways in which you can experience this value more in your life. For example, if you choose non-judgment, you could spend more time with friends and family who accept and support you, just as you are.
- Journal about how you can help others experience this same value, giving the gift of love to someone else.
- Reflect further on your experience today.
All creation comes from love, and when you remember this, life is transformed. The purpose of transformation is to feel good in life. Without love there is no transformation. The energy you create and put into the world will be reciprocated. Align with the energy that is the source of all energy – love. It lifts us up and lightens our heart.
Love is a reality when your live life as your true self. As your true self blossoms through meditation, you see a world made by and for love. A life lived in love is the most realistic life of all.
