St. Patrick’s Day is quickly approaching and my food musings are developing for the big day. Last week I made Irish Coffee and I know that a lot of people make it with Irish Cream, which is a concoction made of whisky and cream. The most popular store bought version is Bailey’s Irish Cream, which we tend to grab and pour into cocktails to create rich and creamy adult drinks. Irish cream can be used to spike quite a few treats and I’m thinking about trying it out with some ice cream next week.
Today, I have a homemade Irish Cream recipe that you are going to love and will never want to go back to the store bought stuff again. A batch of this will make awesome farewell gifts for the guests at this year’s St. Patrick’s Day party. When they are all drunk and you are ready to send them home, just call them an Uber and hand them a bottle to take home!
It’s so simple to make, that you will be wondering why you ever bought the stuff. Enjoy Irish Cream fresh and unprocessed.
