In his online event last week Deepak Chopra stated that he didn’t believe New Year’s Resolutions in the traditional sense work. It is more about makeing choices that bring joy to yourself and others in the moment. If you resolve to do this, then you are more likely to succeed in your resolutions. One important part of this is to harness the power of coincidences and The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success are powerful principles you can use to fulfill your deepest desires with effortless joy.
So, in my continued quest for wellness this year, I’m putting Deepak Chopra’s The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success from his transformational book into practice one by one. According to Chopra each day of the week is dedicated to one of the laws and all seven laws can be practiced that way.
Here are the Seven Spiritual Laws of Success:
The Law of Pure Potentiality
The Law of Giving & Receiving
The Law of Karma or Cause and Effect
The Law of Least Effort
The Law of Intention and Desire
The Law of Detachment
The Law of Dharma or Purpose in Life
I’ll be taking a little more time to get myself accustomed practicing the Seven Spiritual Laws of Success. My next step in keeping up with my New Year’s Resolution will lock me into a commitment for 7 weeks – see how I’m setting myself up to succeed in my dedication to wellness for the new year clear into March! For the next seven weeks I will introduce each of the Seven Spiritual Laws of Success and put one into practice each week.
So, here we go!
The Law of Pure Potentiality
This week we are starting with the Law of Pure Potentiality which is dedicated to Sunday. It’s no wonder that the Law of Pure Potentiality is especially for Sunday as Sunday is a day of rest and peace in much of the world and that is just what the Law of Pure Potentiality inspires. It only makes sense that I introduce this law and its principles to this blog and into my life on a Sunday.
The path to practicing the Law of Pure Potentiality is by taking time each day to be silent, to just Be. By sitting alone in silent meditation at least twice a day for approximately thirty minutes in the morning and thirty minutes in the evening, you can get in touch with the field of pure potentiality.
To discover the essential nature for eternal possibility, one must sit in silence with nonjudgement and reach for our true self and pure consciousness. When we realize that our true Self is one of pure potentiality, we align with the power that manifests everything in nature, as the source of all creation is pure consciousness.
The following is the dedication that the Chopra Center advises in order to put the Law of Pure Potentiality into effect and I plan on practicing.
“I will put the Law of Pure Potentiality into effect by making a commitment to take the following steps:
I will take time each day to commune with nature and to silently witness the intelligence within every living thing. I will sit silently and watch a sunset, or listen to the sound of the ocean or a stream, or simply smell the scent of a flower. In the ecstasy of my own silence, and by communing with nature, I will enjoy the life throb of ages, the field of pure potentiality and unbounded creativity.
I will practice non-judgment. I will begin my day with the statement, “Today, I shall judge nothing that occurs”, and throughout the day I will remind myself not to judge.”
I hope that some of you choose to take this oath with me today and excel into an enlightened place of happiness.
